The wool backing doesn't look like the typical German backings, and so these would take a real hard look.

The undersized runes are seen from time to time, so those alone would not be enough for me to say they are replicas.

A rougher grade of wool backing is seen on some original tabs, but not typical at all.

I'm 50-50 on these tabs.

Here are a pair of original thin-rune tabs. Notice how the backing is similiar to the washed out example being discussed. Mine has all the glue and shellac-like finish, but the subject one has a material that is very much like it absent the finishes.

As far as the backing, there are a number of tabs that have this thicker grained wool, both "Dachau" and other volunteer.
