Gotz von Berlichinger Cuff Title 6 Strands

I recently picked up this CT and 'm hoping to get some opinions on it. It has a soft feel like other originals I've had. I was a bit confused about the letter code on the RZM tag until I saw another CT with a double tag and the one on left was identical like this one. It appears to have been carefully removed from a tunic. Doesnt glow [if that means anything] and appears to be made very well. The one thing that really makes me wonder is that it only has 6 strands in the borders. Any opinions?

    Thanks, Cliff

                Fake,

GvB cufftitles came out only in BeVo,not RZM

I'd be interested in how you know this. Is it something somebody told you? Is it common knowledge? Is it because you have never seen one or because you worked for RZM in the early 40s?

                    Cliff,

sorry but even as a fake this isn't made very well - in fact just about everything that could be wrong, is. As Daniele states, GvB was only made in bevo but the rzm or block style lettering on originals is vastly different from this. I hope the others that you have had looked substantially different.

Yes, it is in fact common knowledge.

                          Cuff Titles

Pick up Ulric of England's A Collectors Guide to SS and Political Cuff Bands Vols I & II, Angolia's Cloth Insignia of the SS, and German Military Cuffbands 1784-Present by Williamson & McGuril. You need to get some basic knowledge on this subject.

And it never hurts to use the Search function at the top of this forum.

Thanks for the comments. It did look good to me. I have only had 3 cts in the past and only 1 of this type..and that was 30 years ago. The last bevo I had I sold hear on WA. It was real.

Well, how about this TK tab??? I'm pretty sure I have a good one here...
