Hi John,
OK, if I can't mention the shape and proportion of the runes (which is somewhat indicative, I think), I also don't like the bullion thread itself, which has the sharp edges to the wrap that I often see on Pakistani made items. The wool, piping, and buckram don't really bother me...

Gentlemen:
Please compare the wire on these runes, which raise doubts, and compare it to the "5" cuff band posted on the thread "Standarte "5" Cufftitle" posted on 1/26. These both have the bullion wire with very small segments. This was also evident in the fake
Norweigen cap eagle posted on 1/8. The pic of the "5" is not a closeup, but I believe this wire is the same as on these Paki runes.

And I believe you are mistaken, the cufftitle is a textbook original and readily available so NOT a high-yield target for the fakers.
