    Klemens Behler pointer/ stick

Hi Guys, what i have here is, i believe, a map pointer dedicated to Klemens Behler most likely dedicated to him by his men.
Measures a little over 20", made of ebony with ivory tips.
The top rune button is bigger then ones seen on SS daggers, looks to be made of silver and inlaid into the ivory top with the inscription:
    SS ObersturmFuhrer
    BEHLER
    III SS - Pz. Korps
    RK 17. 3. 1945
The bottom tip is shaped to that of an artillery shell which coincides with his service with the 54th SS artillery regiment.
He did infact receive the knights cross on March 17 1945.
I have not shown this to many people, infact the only member of this forum that has seen this, about 10 years ago at my house, was Mr. Chuck von Stubben.
After seeing Chuck's fantastic Friekorp diary thread he recently posted, i thought i would show this piece.
    Hope you all enjoy this.
And Chuck....when are you coming back up to Maine?
    Regards,
    Gary

You know that Klemens Behler is a very famous SS-soldier, right?

And it has nothing to do with his awards.

Yes Thorsten, he's the soldier on the "Waffen SS" recruiting poster.
                      Right?

Please tell me it's just me but that reminds me SO much of the fake stuff Germania International sell ... with dedications, dates of awards etc etc.

                              Would you please stop bitching?
