The "patch" has sewn reinforcement on all four sides so I do not think it was cut from something else. It may be complete what ever it is.

I'm kind of going with the pennant theory, mostly because of the semi sheer fabric.

There are visible differences in the slant and spacing between the sig runes.

Any possibility to do a backlight test?

And it's back, a third time (it didn't sell last time it was offered by the current owner, even after multiple reductions) but this time it's $750 (!!!)

I know sellers are free to ask whatever price they wish, but this seems more than double what it's worth. Maybe there's a slew of really interesting hand written entries in there we don't know about which justify the $300 increase price in just a few months time???

I see handwritten entries related to RF-SS, so, maybe the diary was related to the Reichsfuhrer entourage?
I would like to see more images of the written pages.
