    M1/24 Skull

Found in the bottom of a box yesterday. It has seen better days, but still not bad. Looks like it has been stabbed a few times in the top of the skull. Alex

Ah - the age old medical practice of Skull-drilling !
Hope this doesn't catch on with insignia collectors ..

            Skull

Did it get caught in the vacuum cleaner at one time?

              skull

I don't know guys, this is just the way I found it. Maybe someone took the tip of a bayonet to it a few times. I guess it's better than being corroded beyond recognition. Alex

                nice

                Lucky find! (concussion and all!)
Folks used to do the d@mnedest things to medals and insignia.
                Cheers,
                Paul

Possibly ripped off a hat as a souvenier during the war, and taken home like that. That may be battle damaged. or moved in a box with other heavy stuff that laid on it during a move? we will never know. One good thing is the prongs are still attached. I like...anyway.

                    Hello there,

An awesome skull and the damage really doesn't take away from it as it is rather well hidden!
