    Winkelman:
Thank you for the reply. I'm a little confused. Is it the fact that the 475/43 has THREE pins, instead of two? Or is it the way that the pins, whether 2 or 3 are afixed to the eagle that makes them a fake? Correct me if I'm wrong, but the posted eagle appears to show "375/43", not 475/43? Your opinion is sought.

475/43 is a completely bogus number.

The other eagle shown is a 373/43, which is also a completely bogus number. It was shown to illustrate the similarities between both fakes.

As per usance , Brad is correct again - what I meant to show is the following picture of a 475/43 - which is ALWAYS fake - but is not my own , but here goes >>

These round feet should NEVER be found on any type Wagner eagles ; and they never made skulls ..

A short summary of ORIGINAL EAGLES ( IMHO - I stand to be corrected ) :

475/39 in ALUMINUM with 2 Horizontal crimps ( different markings still under discussion ) .
475/39 in ZINC with 2 Horizontal crimps
475/39 in ZINC with 2 of the typical folded flat prongs in cones
475/42 in ZINC with 3 of the typical folded flat prongs in cones - with either a Long or a Short slash .

Leaving out the Wagner M1/8 - with either OVAL feet or soldered pins ..

With ALL 3 prongs of the 475/42 still intact - not easy to find - Wagner surely made the most vulnerable ones of all manufacturers .

This is the SHORT SLASH version of 475/42 ..
