SS TK Officers leather coat that was offered to me. To say the least Im very weary of it.

Could use some opinions on it.

Ya, the insignia's fake. Hard to say if the coat is of TR period...

Based on the limited views in the photos, the styling and color of the coat appears identical to a Offiziersmantel I had from the 1970's. I would be wary of any claims that it is 3rd Reich period.

Really? Everything about the pattern and cut of the coat says civilian not military at all.

One particular Dutch crook shipped dozens of these civilian coats overseas through Ebay , after just adding WH or LW shoulderboards .

But these insignia are really over the top .. !

That may very well be the case for this particular coat. My point was that it's doubtful that this garment dates from the third reich period.
