Rob, Any chance of seeing that rune tab without flash, just to humor me. The only reason I asked about the tab is I have a M44 tunic SS tunic which what appears to be a factory sewn rzm sleeve eagle, but the tabs were fakes added at a later time.
They were the bevo rune type with the dark outline and lines going through the runes. the tabs were expertly machine sewn very similar to yours and somewhat resembled the factory stitching under the collar. I was not defaming your tunic , but I wanted to make a comparison for myself.

I picked up the tunic in the early 80's and still own it.

Here is an old thread on my tunic.

Here is a thread on my tab, but unfortunately also taken with a flash.

I have the same lining in a m40 5 button tunic but my M44 as you see has a gray herringbone

The whole thing looks pretty good IMO.

Even the most original textbook insignia will be called fake on the forums because it is the perfect opportunity to voice an opinion without knowing what the heck you are talking about.

Just to clarify my " that is all I can add to this discussion comment" it just means I can only comment on the eagle and tabs since I know jack all about uniforms or shoulder boards.

I agree , and if asked for a explanation of their opinion it stays silent .
                Too bad .

                Thanks for your reply

Well , these things dont come your way very often to say the least , I purchased this tunic at a show in Kassel, it was found in Austria , out of the woodwork , it came from the family but I cant tell you anything else , thats all I know .
The value would be higher then normally IMO , since all the insignia are original aplied .

                          Rob.

Wonderful piece and it seems to do the talking itself. I am sure in person it is a one-looker to anyone with much uniform experience that does not have an agenda. Thanks very much for sharing it with us.

This is what Ive been talikng about, guessing at things, just be silent if your not sure, not jumping on you guys but this is the stuff that has been happening so often. Its the stuff that kills good deals, removes hours of sleep and general causes confusion.Im far from perfect but only make a call that im 100% on,and then double check myself, you don't realize the major mistakes and calamities that wrong or guessed opinions can cause.Seriously.Id rather have 1 correct negative crtitique than 100 wrong misplaced praises.

                                Wewelsburg,

Well, I'll be keeping my opinion to myself from now on... you can count on it. We do the best we can from the pictures posted. The absolute best way to make an informed decision is to have the article in hand. We don't have that luxury... all we have is photos. Sometimes the photos are good and the call is easy, particularly if its a fake we've seen time and again. And we've heard the stories about where things have come from; some quite extraordinary, but stories just the same. And you are jumping on us because you've specifically highlighted our comments. The next time you make a mistaken call on this forum, be sure that you'll be hearing from me and Lasse about it... don't make a mistake now... or we'll be all over your case about it...

                                Bob
