You have made a reasonable request, demanding something we call "evidence" to support an opinion that your eagle is a fake. Good luck in obtaining proof! All you will get is, "fake","not for me", " wouldn't buy it"; "no good", etc. To expect more from our resident experts as to "why" something is "fake", will get you nowhere on Tony Barto, notwithstanding all the expertise and knowledge from the usual suspects. Don't feel bad, you did your best and you will go nowhere in your quest for knowledge as to the originality of your eagle, at least in this forum.

When I seek information on an item I first use the search function, you would be amazed what you find, all sorts of GOOD Eagles to compare with and learn from. Here is a thread that may help you learn!

I know that you replied in good faith to Frozzer's request for proof. The thread that you attached is invaluable as to the original examples that are posted. But Frozzer is posting HIS eagle and needs help as his piece and nobody else's. Is the strike a bad strike? Are the three prongs attached in a way inconsistent with known originals? Is the metal wrong? These would be areas to be shown as to why this guy's eagle is a fake. I'm no expert in the 1936 SS eagle and I am also eager to learn, but that thread does not directly answer this member's need for information, nor my own.

Thanks matrovsky - I think you only understand me.
I'm a collector of wehrmacht equipment and in this matter I do not need any opinion.
I'm not collecting and ss eagles or insignia and any compare material is useless for me
I cant find any differences (ofcourse signatures, and material like zinc, alu etc is clearly visible - but I cant find differences in details)

I just post this eagle for opinion beacouse I don't want to sell copy as original.

and if it is bad - just please tell me WHY
                    nothing more

...and you think by insulting us like you did above we are likely to give you any more?!

                        Bwanek1,

I understand not wanting to answer after insulting remarks...it has happened to me quite a bit. Frozzer was the original thread poster and I can't find any insults in his posts. I know you singled out Matovsky correctly as the one tossing the insults, but he is not the one who asked respectfully in the first place. I think Frozzer deserves an answer, I know what its like in an area your unfamiliar with...everything, good and bad, looks the same.

                        Richard

Bwanek 1, I did not mean to insult you, since my remarks were not even directed to you personally. But now that you have questioned my motives in demanding proof that Frozzer's eagle is "not for me", as you indicated in your post. How about explaining exactly why, it would not be for you? Is that asking too much? Is that an insult, resulting in I will not get "any more"? Not much of a threat, considering that none of us are treated to "any more" facts in the first place.

                            Frozzer:
Imagine, requesting in the most humble terms "Why" your eagle is a fake? Shame on you for seeking such secret information! You must know by now, that there is little or no chance that any of our SS experts will devulge to you such confidential information. Just accept the lofty opinions as a given, and hopefully you will have learned a lesson in humility for having the temerity to question your betters.

                              SSs

Your request is in the details. this eagle looks to me like it is trying to be an example of a HICKE maker and if a comparison is done you will notice the diferences , , this is my opinion , and i am no expert just an ss insignia collector with a few years of comparative experience .I find this example to be a very nice repo that will fool many people who are not well versed in ss cap insignia .
