Its a copy/fake the originals look nothing like this. Though I am surprised to see whoever made this took the trouble of getting the head markings in. David

And the backing material looks very strange and synthetic - almost
like fibreglass material.

Look at the story that goes with it........ I purchaced this collar tab directly from a US WWII vet. He personaly removed it from a guards tunic while liberating a "camp" in 1945. It is guaranteed for life to be authentic! Maybe a re-enactors tunic. David
