    SS spoon from Bad Tolz

I am not sure if this is the correct place to post this or not so Mods,
please feel free to move it.

This was given to me last night by my neighbor. He was part of Gen .Patton's staff as a army Liason pilot. At the end of the war, the 3rd
used Bad Tolz as it's headquarters. My friend liberated this spoon from
    there.

Here is a picture he took of the school at Bad Tolz. He took this from
his L4 Grasshopper using an old Brownie camera. This picture was
taken from the west. If you look at the right side you can see the towers
that made up the main gate.

Interesting stuff, Greg. Thanks for sharing. Nirosta is definitely a period silverware maker. I'm not familiar with this pattern, but sure looks spot on to me. I'm curious as hell to know what the initials "L.K." stand for?? Hopefully there are other members that can help out.

I have never collected SS before. Mainly because of all the fakes.
I know there is absolutely no chance this is fake. This came directly from
the BadTolz school and has never changed hands.

I am also curious what the initials mean.

Nirosta is stainless steel not silver...

If I remember correctly they had some examples like this in a display case when 10th Group was stationed there.

If anyone might have any info about the "T" after the SS or the "LK",
please feel free to post it or contact me.

I think that the 'SS-T' here is indeed 'Toelz', not Totenkopf.

                          Hope that helps, Greg.
