      I'm making him an offer, I'll let you know if it falls through. As for the fezes, I think he wants 600 apiece, I was going to tell Metthew about them since he seems to really want one

        I would also like to show you a photo of an original runic embroidered on badge cloth notice the angle of the runic emblem and also notice the thread is not roped like the early thread but like the thread that is used to make the pirate trapezoid that is found on the Dachau panzer m43 caps

              Gary.

              As you know i´m trying to learn the difficult area as Waffen-SS collecting is.
              Is both your patch and Brigs original, using two (2) different kinds of threading ?
              My negative reaction on Brigs patch was the criss cross pattern that i cant see on your patch.

              My second question:
              Was felt cloth (badge cloth) used from time to time ?

              Thanks.

                The tab also looks good to me as well. I did bid on it's twin on ebay as Totenkopfverbande (one of the 3 Brig posted and asked for comments on earlier) but the auction was canceled and I just wasn't motivated enough to pursue it any further with the seller. Saving my dough for the SOS as I'm hearin there's gonna be some dynamite stuff making an appearance.

                Good luck to whomever ends up the buyer of the grouping and please post pix of it all when you receive it!
                Best regards,

                Tony

                  Hi Peter;

                  Yes, both are original. There were numerous manufacturers and probably almost as many different manufacturing techniques used. Also material availability has to be taken into account which is why you'll see different threading, base materials and backings used. One of the best ways to get a good grasp on this is to actually study known originals.
                  Best regards,

                  Tony

                              Huh. He offered me a deal on both tabs plus a fez and was pushing me to make a deal because he said he had others waiting.....Go figure. He did offer me a pretty good deal actually but I don't like being pushed to make a decision. That pisses me off when people try that with me and I don't care how good of a deal it is, I'll pass just because of that.
                              Best regards,
