The insignia is good as Ian said. It appears to be hand sewn to the cap which usually indicates post war application.

You need to post some photos of the inside of the flaps.

You will probably have doubters on the cap itself.

SOrry but to me it appears that the trap is factory machine stitched and text book...
Just the top edge is not which is the norm on many...finished by hand!
I like it and I agree that a button might have been repaired/replaced,
a sign that it might have seen some action...not a depot survivor!

cap looks good it self from the few pictures.

By the way i saw, in wellknown dealer, m43 without insigna... selling with trap machinesewn stiched.

I'm not really happy when i see the method of stiching of this trap.

The trap must have an hand ispection. It's really a minefield.

Am I wrong that the trap insignia is more rare than others? This style I've almost always seen in Panzer black. The trap IS machine stitched, just repaired. I'm not an M-43 expert, but I like this one.
