          Minty

Another Minty Tunic with SS Insignia. All you need to know, if you are paying an un-touched original price, is where has it been for 70 years. Any Fotos from the 1950's? 1960's? 1970's? or is this a "recent find"?

The finish on those buttons is really mint.

To give a correct opinion, need some detailed pictures of the marks size/ factory, button holes right side and the two holes belt hooks embroider, both side, I personally I dont like this type of lining (the green) usually found in the overcoats and not in the tunics, expecially SS.

I believe that I have seen this tunic before in the last couple of years. If I am right, it was on a German dealer's site. I cannot remember the name, but he had sale price reductions at regular intervals until he finally closed up shop and opened his website with a new look. Dang, I can't remember the name though...

I would say replaced insignias, the eagle sits too high on the sleeve for a tunic that should have had it factory added an the stitching is hap hazard so it was added either wartime after the tunic was issued at best OR post war at worst. Knowing the seller and having done a few deals with him this is probably a made up after the war piece.

Possibly or probably, its still a nice genuine piece with genuine insignia.
Wonder if it also has an SS pattern gebirgsjager sleeve edelweiss?
If it does't (yet) I'm sure it will one day....

If the price is less than or equal to the value of the parts then you're onto a winner, that's IF you can honestly look at it and feel the glow.

From my view it looks like a worn ek band on a unused tunic with unused insignia and shouldarbords. Not to found of the sewing on the eagle either.
The buttons look like the they still have the greenish paint-sealer aka unused.

                              What do you guys think?
