Looks like a repro, by me ... The cloth didn't remind to the original german duck, and the way it was printed seems to me different to the original example of ss camo...

I'm not SS collector, and I could be wrong... but I feel some 'bad vibrations' on it...

    Cheers!

            Hi there!
I think that the cloth is the bigger difference! Even the way its been printed is wrong.... For the comparation, you can check among the pages of WAF. You'll founds lots of original example to compare!

            Good luck!

I don't mean to sound arrogant here but before you consider a purchase like that you should get familiar with the basics of these items. My advise is alyways to start out with zelts, this gives you a feeling for materials, prints and manufacturing details.

This repro here is about the worst you can find. Frank pointed out that the fabric is wrong, this statement is correct. Smocks were never made using cotton-twill fabric. Original smocks were made using cotton duck material (which is the material zelts were made from) and in addition some later variants were made from HBT material.

Beside that a number of other things are wrong with that smock. The pattern for instance is a disaster, it tries to be oak.

              Good luck!

              Cheers

              Fritz

                  Anyway, hope this help.

A repro, eyelets and material are easy giveaways.

sorry not a good one .

Take what Fritz told you to heart .
It is the best way to learn about German prints , sewing , and fabric encountered in wartime production manufacturing.
Just buy a zelt first .

Unless you payed real cheap for the pullover put it down as a collecting lesson ...
