Officer Bullion Tabs for Opinions. I have looked at tabs until they all look alike. I most definitely thought these were not real but after looking at pictures and reading threads. A couple of things seemed right so here I am. Help please. One of the redeeming factors was on the front side.

i have your opinion! not good. imo both sides of tabs haven't original features.

I would not disgard these as copies.
The construction is accurate but not standard, however they could be private purchase.
It apears the black base is velvet which was usually reserved for the construction of the officer upper level tabs(Standartenfuhrer and up).
The pips are of the time.
There are some things in history we can still not verify!

Jimmy did claim to get these with other real German fireman insignia. I am not sure if it was a vet hit or not.

My humble opinion is that these tabs are not real, and as the Doc said, poor fakes, I have seen known fakes that utilize identical backing material. Also no original I own or have observed look anything like these tabs. Again, just my input.
