JULLEUCHTER with unusual marking

Hi,

I got that Julleuchter, everything looks OK to me, measures 22.5 cm, proportions and material looks OK, Allach rune is as it should be, but this mark "A" on one foot? I did not saw that before.

Any ideas?

I remember my Grandmother having one of these that she would set up around Xmas whe I was a kid and never really knew what they really were for. Wish I didn't break it when I was around 9
