Yep, but there's a lot that's not standard of course, I'd like to see what it looks like with the collar in it's usual pressed back state.

This is a conversion (former Dutch) tunic like I already stated in post 6, so anything standard (the norm) does NOT apply here.

-the eagle does not need to be zig-zag machine stitched, hand-sewn is absolutely correct for tailor made pieces (but less sloppy is expected...probably denazified per law and reapplied)
-the NCO tresse could have continued on the collar like that...a Dutch tailor would not necessarily have known the regular German practice...
-this tunic is NOT meant to be worn pressed open...Its basically cold weather tunic. SD-SiPo wore open neck AND closed neck tunics (a weather issue or preference issue I guess)

It is a tailored conversion piece and most likely done in Holland by a local tailor who did not follow German practices (like the NCO tresse and the tab litzen spacing).
and that's why I like this piece so much (like WAF member Winkelman from Holland)...
A (post war) creation would have been done text book style without those "red flags"...

Its actually a sign of authenticity here...the collar tresse continuing like that and that's perhaps why the NCO did not bother to remove the NCO tresse per the 1942 regulations
when the SD switched from Waffen SS style shoulder straps to Polizei style shoulderboards... That means it was tailored on or before 1942 and the shoulderstraps updated after that date!

All good points and I concede the possibility of all but the insignia being originally attached (I still don't like the eagle).
