Could this be genuine? (SS cap?)

I found this cap in the costume department of an old television station I visited with an employee of the costume department I know to pick out clothes for a photo shoot.
I discovered they had an militaria section, which I of course looked into. I was told that some of their WW2 uniforms were original pieces picked up at the end of the war, but no one at the place know anything about militaria.

I browsed through some of their "fake" uniforms untill I discovered this cap.
The only reason I got interested was because of the paper RZM piece inside the cap and the anonymous look. I have seen this type of cap on various pictures, so I know the model existed. My expertise is not in uniforms, and not at all in the SS, so I thought I would here some opinions before I investigate any further, and get some good pictures.

The cap is in good slighty used condition, with the eagle insignia on the side of the cap (only one insignia).
Sorry for the lousy pictures but I only had a bad camera in my cellphone as I didn't expect to find anything interesting there.

Anyways, enough talk, the question is if this look like anything that could be interesting to look into or if it is clearly just another known fake.
I realize it can be difficult to get an impression from the pictures, but I know sometimes these pieces give themself away fairly easy.

    Kind Regards

Give a man an opinion and you feed him for a day,
teach a man to use the "search" function on the WAF and you feed him for a lifetime.

At one time , you could certainly find original items at costume departments in Western Europe .
Unfortunately , you're about 20-30 years too late for that ..

Actually they did sell a couple of original jackets not long ago. Late war stuff as far as I know, but yes, those days are probably over now.
