    Skull on e-stand

Is it me, or has the world gone completely mad? Perhaps I am missing something here, is there a single skull actually worth $2,500 http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...d.php?t=394516

That is a very fair price for that skull, IMO. I paid that for one with no finish.
Try finding another in this condition for any price.

Perhaps it is very rare, nevertheless the price is sheer lunacy for a skull by any measure of sanity, in any event, it has now been marked "sold", or possibly removed since this thread appeared. The seller also congratulates the owner

                Yes. It has.

I picked up an early Deschler like that FROM A DEALER not all that long ago for £75......................i.e. about $150.

in the last time... i saw tk sold with incredible prices... when all other things are quite always underpriced...

when there wasn't financial crisis... tk were bought at 800 usd (sure also for more)
                  now... 1200 damaged.

ive collected about 20 years. in that amount of time going to both max and sos shows plus manions and all other auctions and dealers ive searched. i have probably seen 15 or more of these. i consider them scarce, not rare. i can think of alot of other militaria that is far harder to locate or much rarer. but demand drives the price and apparently alot of collectors will pay whatever it takes to get these. as with other ss stuff you dont get much for your money..people love the evil history associated with ss..

                          try to find one

anyone who wants this skull will be hard pressed to find it under 2000.00 $,, it is very scarce and both prongs are there and it has 95% of the silver on the skull , those things all affect the price . there are people who only collect 2nd pattern skulls and eagles . so the price means nothing to someone who wants to add it to there collection.
