    A question about Totenkopfring

    Hi all

    we know some date on Totenkopfring include 24.12 & 30.6 & 7.3 & 20.4 & 21.12``````` all this is Himmler's order.

but I want to know what regulation decide which data engrave on a Totenkopfring?

Please help me, and thank you.

    Ring

I believe that MOST ring dates were arbitrary, in that they probably coincided with the next closest "authorized" date. There is speculation that the 30.6.34 dated rings denoted participitation in the Roehm purge, but I don't think there is proof of this. It seems more possible that the early dated rings may have had a specific significant date, but I really doubt it on the later rings.

some dates were engraved so as to coincide with an important event in the SS calendar where the rings would then be bestowed upon.

Some of the more important dates would be to tie up with Hitler's Birthday, the Summer Solistice, date of the Purge, etc etc.

        Rings

I think he means, did they pick one of the 'known" dates for a particular reason.

I think many of the rings were given on the date officers graduated from ss schools. Others were given as special awards, with varying dates. You really might consider buying one of don boyles books as he has it pretty much nailed down.
