    Double cufftitle, but which ?

I got these pictures taken in Italy somewhere of a group of Polizeimen along with some Italien officers.

On high ranking guy is wearing a Polizei cap but an open collar tunic without collartabs.
Most interesting however is the double cufftitle he seems to be wearing.

Anyone have an Idea as to what the titles read ?

The bottom band has me stymied. Is the top band Aufbauschule Nagold?

In the land of the blind, the one eyed man is king.

Duct tape can't fix stupid, but it can muffle the sound.

Each title looks like it has three distinct words.

The man's uniform is odd...............WW1 vet, with Italian-German Medal and also a Fasces, suggests German SS-Police Liaison Officer with the Italians?

Reminds me of the strange SS uniform shown here (black shirt and 'back-to-front' collar tabs).

                Cuff Title

The cuff title in question is the first pattern for the SS-Schule Braunschweig. This cuff title is pictured in Angolia's Cloth Insignia of the SS, 2nd edition, 1989, page 168.

And about 2 post prior from Bob! I dont think so though, bottom one has 3 words around the same length each.Top one ends in a 2 letter word.

                    Thanks for all your thoughts.

There is a second picture where the titles are seen at a different angle but less sharp. I think Robin is right that there seem to be three distinct words per cufftitle.

Could these be some sort of Italian honourary title maybe

Whatever they are, I don't think they are SS at all.

                      Very strange.

For some reason I get the impression that the first word on the top title is "Deutsches" or "Deutscher". Maybe the title below it is the Italian translation!

Is it, as others have requested, possible to post the total photographs? It might help as, in many cases, digital magnification actually makes the job of identification harder.

I'm thinking its an early war or prewar photo due to the cross strap being worn and also there was a lot of interaction with the Italian Police and German around 1938-1940. The entire photo would help with some clues.

                            "Landesgruupe Italien" or a derivative????

The pictures are large size and show 30 men of which:

4 in Italian uniform (see link ) (is it possible to ID these men?)
                              2 in civilian clothes
23 Police officers (rank between Leutnant and Major)
                              our mystery man

The police officers wear tunics suggesting the picture was taken between mid 1940 and end 1942.
