SS tab variance

I was wasting some time this morning. Saw this NCO SS tab on Manion's is this a late war variance. I never saw anything quit like this. It appears to be a heavy cording thread? Any thoughts on this

The tab you are showing and the one in the attached thread are hand made IMO. Also, bullion NCO tabs were used without piping and those were hand made. I liked the tab in the attached thread. It had a lot of honest, been there wear. I think yours may be similar. At least it appears that way to me.

Thanks for your opinions. Looks like I still have a lot to learn on SS collar tabs. Looks like some on just paid $381.00 for it. Paul
