    I have my doubts...
this Danish shield looks like those copies that "Pieces if History" from AZ is peddling as real...

The Danish shield is a repro, but these printed eagles are accepted as real by most collectors. There is also photo evidence of the printed eagle in wear that proves the case.

I bet there are already fake printed eagles and how one separates those from originals is another question.

            Hello Nick,

I don't like the weave of the Danish shield, not smooth enough on the front and not nicely finished on the back. So a no for me...

The printed eagle is the same as the one I got from Bill Shea, who had a whole sheet of them. They dissapeared (sold them all?) from his site around the time when the photo from Hanna's Reich popped up. (btw. still want to see the complete photo!)
Although I think it's a good one, you should compare it to the one pictured in Angolia's cloth insignia of the SS, that one is much sharper in detail, slight thinner lines etc. So different producers or... interesting for sure.

These can be found on Manions site. There was a thread awhile back on the printed eagles and other insignia http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...=printed+eagle
