I'd say Political, but Original indeed.

its an original. i have one but the finish seems too clean, as compared to the one you have.
These are for forestry caps. those for postal caps are smaller. SA eagles are larger than the forestry cap eagles.

as for the direction the head is facing, eagles facing right are political and those that face left are for the armed forces, etc.
but this directive was only implemented after the early years.

carlsson. yes its an NSKK eagle - you got a good eye for detail.
I chose to erase it as its not within this area of discussion.
we're talking about forestry eagles and i showed my SA piece for comparison.
