Help! UStuf. LSSAH Panzer board with officer CYPHER

As some as you know I come from serious LAH document collecting, but have a rather limited horizion with regards to hardware.

During my recent efforts to diversify I was offered the following Panzer shoulderboard to an SS-UStuf. of the LAH's Panzer Regiment.

The critical point here is of course the cypher and I am appealing to the experts out there for varification and their opinion on the originality.

In my own opinion the cypher and board are o.k.

    But what do you say?

Many thanks for your input and advice!

    Markus

            Tricky

Tricky to call Cypher's on a Computer Monitor, but I like it. The Board I could care less about.

              fake

Markus, It's a copy IMO.....I suspect if you could see the reverse it would look similar to this.

The board looks to be an original Army Panzer officer's shoulder strap, some SS officer's did wear army straps.

No, it looks different for sure, as the lower left of the "H" is filled, not open like the fake one you posted.

                    Compare it to this one...

I think the first cypher posted is a winner.

I'd have to go with a 'thumbs down'. The cipher on the board does not have that sharpness to it that I've seen on authentic pieces. As for it being on an Army panzer officer shoulder board --- no problem with that.

                            Chance

There are alot of little details it has correct. I agree it lacks sharpness on certain points, but the photography is a bit fuzzy. I like the prongs as well. I want it in hand. Then I could call it in a second. Of course off the Board it would be a breeze. I just hate to dismiss it as a casting so fast.

Hm, I don't have any further images at this point, but on this one I already posted above, the cypher does look much sharper, doesn't it?
