Good for you for trying to search the old threads on your own first; that is the best way to learn and the effort is appreciated. You were also wise to ask for help from more knowledgeable collectors before making such a purchase.

I suggest that you start more simply with insignia before you look at complete tunics. If I may say so without sounding condescending, this is one is a complete POS and it shows that you still need to learn a great deal before you are ready to jump into the deep water (unless you are exceedingly wealthy and can afford to lose a great deal of money).

        Now that is sound advice:

(unless you are exceedingly wealthy and can afford to lose a great deal of money).

          Kudos for the communal response.

OK, you do not have to go that far

In the 1970's Pathmark, a NY and NJ supermarket chain started selling items under their own label---probably made by the same companies that made the name-brand products---they had a really "generic" line called Pathmark "No-Frills" and one item they sold was beer...oh man I was too young then to drink but I could just imagine what crap that was.
