Wasnt there a box that was discussed just a few days ago or last week with pitted or dotted surface and it was deemed to be questionnable? was that a confirmed fake?

Then you are correct.
the box is not necessarily for a book.
It is more in the line of somthing a bit rarer than an ordinary SS MK box.
All this was discussed in detail already, right here in this forum.
I put it up as it has basically the same configuration-and thought-quite foolishly that by posting it here it would facillitate an update on how many boxes are out there, as the original poster was attempting.
At this point, I suspect this thread's original purpose is dead.Last edited by Michael Fay; 10-22-2009, 08:11 AM.

I get what you are saying, but here's how prices changed....
1982.......RK £500 GBP MK Box £250 GBP
2009.......RK £3000 GBP MK Box £2000 GBP
Pretty comparable, I think!

On an aside, the search function is just as easy to use as posting redundant inquiries.

The MK Casket Club
Hey Gents, the original post is about THE CASKET CLUB!
If you've got one, you're IN. Just show your sample. Very easy
All others take your doubts and start another post.
If you have an example to contribute then you are invited to do so, all others who cannot contribute, Piss Off. It's so simple.

Everyone has an opinion.
This thread was to take a look the world of SS wood boxes and make a tally.
But this thread is dead.
Does any one think anyone else feels this thread even deserves to have them post their photos?
No.
When opinions get given with a bad attitude by folks who have no explanation or evidence to back it up and dont use their real names...but hide behind a fake name alias.
C'mon, if you use a fake name, at least polite...or a true expert. otherwise you kill the thread.
I would love to learn more, from someone who actually knows somthing.
