Another fake SS K98 field Bayonet

I bought this with a large collection and since I have my doubts I have never tried to sell it. I always thought I might need a good bayonet to open up my cans of worms. Very few large collections come without at least of few of them. Jack

These things, no matter how fake they be, have always looked good. Of all the good ones I've seen, these still look good. I would buy a not mind having one for the pure beauty. At a reasonable price....

Nothing wrong with the bayo itself. The etching is done in the seventy's

I avoid all field gear marked with anything SS because it is most likely post-war done to jack up the prices. Very little stuff was wartime marked. The Waffen-SS received it's equipment from Army stocks. Too bad somebody screwed up a good original K-98 bayonet to screw some SS collector. That is the only reason I could see somebody doing this.

Indeed, the etching was done in the 60-70's in the UK.
These are now also collector's items.
Too bad they screwed up a nice bayonet!

It would make a nice letter opener.
