Now that is what I call a NICE,VERY NICE reproduction, I also like it a lot, unfortunately the price tag is a out of my reach at the moment. I remember that one of this original chairs where at the private collection of a member of British royalty, I think the Lord of Bath or something similar, I saw it featured in a WW2 documentary which now escape my memorie.Originally posted by Robin Lumsden View Post

) to buy one of the reproduction Reichschancellery "cabinet room eagle chairs" ...well they where used in other rooms in the real R.C. also, that where used in the film the Battle of Britain reichschancellery scenes among other films, it was a very,very nice representation of the chair desing and "needle work" on the eagle/laurels work, if we remember these where backdrop props. They where asking at that moment almost the same amount of money of these SS chairs!!
At that time I did't see the real value as a T.R. collectable and belive me I LIKE A LOT THAT CHAIR!!!! even if was a reproduction...but again the price scare me off and I didn't think on the "film memorabilia value" at that time.
I was told that the chair now resides in France, in a movie prop collection which most of it is in storage. What happen to the other 6 or 8 that where made?....maybe someone have them or are also in storage in England/Europe...who knows!!!Comment

Take one to Mexico and they will mnake them for $200.00 a chair and be thankful. Of course, you would have to provide the wood, which would cost another $100.oo per chair.
This is my red and wite cedar rocking chair. $125.00 in Mexico and I paid Gringo-tourista price.

Look at this piece, take everything into account and you will come to the fact that the price for one chair is not expensive.
Take an old long oak table as well, put about 8-12 chairs onby and have the most typical SS meeting room which Third Reich history has to offer.
They did a seriously good job!Comment

Why are the brasses not the same as the original ones ?
The dot in a circle patern is from the old Germanic/Celtic period.
Compare the rest of the repro chair to the original one that is shown and see enough other differences.
Much to do about nothing, lot of money for a reproduction that isn't as superb as they want people to believe.

The brasses are exactly the same like the original ones!
Make a better one by yourself and offer it for a lower price - then we can discuss it as well.Comment
