    crazy planetree zelt

Today I received a weathered #5/6 Planetree zelt with Oak underprint. In the purplish ground print of the spring side there is a small white floral pattern in the print. This is a fair indication that the camo print was printed over a previously printed fabric. This appears to be a late war zelt with late war features and steel buttons.

Has anyone ever seen anything like this before in a zelt or on smocks?

see the multi pointed star shape in the center of the pic. There is a constant repeat of this promenant shape in the print.

    Any comments on this welcome

    Thanks

Here is the mnfg stamp on the zelt

Does anyone recognize the stamp, have a clearer example of it or know the name of the mnfg.

      Any help greatly appreciated.

      Thanks again

i think it was printed on a pice of cloth with "flowers" this is very interesting,
years ago i have seen a dot tunic with red flowers inside.

            Hi Owen,
Sorry, I dont understand your question.
Regardless, this is not a joke - it is actually in the fabric. It completely covers both the right and left panels on this zelt. When I first noticed it, thought there was something wrong with the print, something that occured in the printing process but on a closer look began to see the pattern repeated. It is without a doubt a print that was on the fabric before the camo pattern was applied.

            Thanks
            Mark
