    Latvia Arm Shield

    Hi folks,

I would welcome anyones opinion on this shield please. I know nothing about these to be honest since I normally collect medals and combat awards but I bought this because I am also starting to develop an interest in the Latvian involvement.

    Many thanks in advance.

Many thanks for the quick responses gentlemen.

I have had a look through the forum about these patches and how to identify them as genuine but I didn't find much. I assume it's to do with the weave of the cloth since you can't tell what it's made from by a picture?

I also assume these are referred to as 'Dachau production' since they were manufactured by the prisoners held there?

Apologies for the questions but as I said not my area of knowledge.

          Cheers

Posting here an example which appears - from my research on this Forum - to be an almost identical match to the one shown above in this thread from 2009.

Seeking verification from those in the know as to whether or not this patch might also be considered a very good original Dachau-production example.

            Thanks for looking,

            John
