strange chain with SS runes to arrest one

does anyone has an idea what this could be, and if it is period made or fantasie?

Could be used to chain someones hands during bringing him to somewhere, but if SS would have had something?

These are standard Police "Handcuffs" from pre- WW2, also used during WW2. We have a lot of them in Norway. None are marked as far as I know, certainly not with SS markings.

I always thought this thing was sm related cause the store keeper I bought my pair from gave me a strange look when I took them to the counter.

These items are difficult to identify to a particular time frame and manufacturer but I would suggest these may be post war DDR, IMO.

There are original examples of pre war or wartime manufactured pieces which are property marked to the Kriminalpolizei and also to August Schwarz, but these are very dificult to find.

Up to a few years ago the dutch police had these as well.
Now they are (as far as I know) replaced by regular handcuffs.

I have seen these types of handcuffs before - notably used by the DDR's Stasi and police - they are nicknamed "come-alongs" because they are twisted around wrists to painfully drag a suspect away.
