I am afraid the photo's provided by sturmann are not of good enough quality to assert if the tk above is the same being worn so I have asked him to send me higher resolution scans of the pictures which I will post here when he does.

sure would be interesting if they match
          cheers,

I agree. As of right now, for me personally, especially comparing to the first photograph, I would say they definitely do NOT match. Skull and bones appear to be shaped differently from one another so I anxiously await the new photos.
            Best regards,

            Tony

The Latvians made SS arm eagles and SS collar tab runes. We already know the Estonians made some collar tabs for themselves AND the metal lions on the sleeve shield on the 2nd photo,,, this can be a good piece!!.. I put a magnifying glass to the first photo and it looks like it might be the same as the one first posted.. , G.

i will make some new scans but i can't get you a 10x10cm period photo of this skull on both sides. so i'll try to make the best i can.

sorry but these are the only period pics where i KNOW that soldier is wearing this skull. i have another pic of estonian SS volunteer wearing SS skull on his M43 Feldmütze but i'm not 100% sure that this is the same type of skull so i won't post it.
and the scans aren't better either now. just a big white spot instead of SS skull.
so you just have to believe me.

I think it is quite likly to be original, why would would someone make a copy
that bad? Also it looks to stamped not cast, so would surely have been expensive to set up pruduction. I think you may have a super rare skull. Normally
with copy skulls someone else has got one, nobody else seems to have seen
                    one like this,or have they?

hmm...to be honest they look like littlebit different yes. i just have to find more pics and proofs about this one. isn't here some real expert on these who could back me up a littlebit. i can't do this alone
i think collectors from outside the estonia doesn't have these ones a lot. i know olny 2 big collectors in estonia who has these skulls and also eagles. but i don't have any pics of their skulls.
what i'm trying to say is that this piece is 100% authentic and very rare.
so it's your free will if you believe my story or not - i have no reason to lie because i'm not planning to sell this one.

Why oh why must we be tested? Is this some sort of trick? I am very happy that you have this ultra rare original piece, but quite frankly, if I didn't know what I was looking at, I'd say F-A-K-E!!!
I would have rather had the story up front, than a set up to embarass the Forum members who were nice enough to share their opinions with you.

There are no "real experts" here. We are just collectors and historians with varying degrees and years of experience putting our thoughts and experiences together for a common cause. You posted an image and posted some photos to back up your opinion that it is real. The photos don't actually support your contentions that it is legit save for one individual who thinks it does when looking through a magnifying glass.
                                Best regards,
