ss cufftitle original?

I purchase this sleeveband from a friend who is a self proclaimed "expert"
and ss cloth collector. Some others have said there is a mfg. defect and it is not original. From the relatively poor quality pic could some members give their opinions?

I'd be VERY worried about buying anything off

and ss cloth collector.

He must have a whole collection full of 'bargain buys' ... however based on this single photo I'd say it was a loose strand in the manufacture.
