This is not an issue item and comes under 'field made'.What is the material,it should be cotten duck or is it HBT? looks rather new.

I'm no expert on ss camou,I only have two original items in my collection, but if you have a copy of Michael D.Beaver's camouflage uniforms of the waffen ss.It shows shirts converted from smocks, oak leaf hbt was made in to tunics and trousers and panzer suits.Sorry I'm not much help,I used to attend militaria fairs in Belgium,Antwerp,Wav're and Arlon and saw alot of fake stuff made in Chech; eastern europe .

the aluminum buttons are the 3 holes ones used on zelts. Do they have a thick or thin edge? If I'm correct the thick edged ones are modern repros.
A lot of this stuff is currently being produced with original camo cloth to fool collectors into buying "field made" garments which being custom made of course cannot be compared to other specimen for particular features found only in originals. The best thing to do is first check the provenance and who's selling it ... second you should have handled at least few original camo specimen to get familiar with sewing threads and techniques. Unfortunately custom tailored pieces of uniform are difficult to authenticate. You need better pictures specially of seam lines, hem, buttons and button keyholes and wait for more experienced members like a camouflage expert of the caliber of Lorenz to have a look at it.
This is the most I can do with my little experience.

Just a quick comparison of one of the different weave patterns of Cotton Duck and HBT. Don't mind the colors

This shirt looks to be very professionally made by an experienced tailor. I would have doubts. It is just too perfect. I agree that a lot of this stuff is being made today. Try to check for legit wear patterns which of course can be simulated by a person wearing the piece around for month or working in it.

So much headgear and so many tunics in the correct fashion are being made with original insignia in Europe these days that I am really glad that I only collect these on a limited basis as it can be really tough to distinguish. Some of the pieces have easier tells, while others are a bit tougher.

If the fabric is original it is quite possible you simply have a shirt that was made for use very early post war there are quite a few examples of post war clothing made from SS and Heer camo that were simply work clothes for people in a country that was in ruins. Just another insight
