I am sure the DAK pith shield and the 1/2 of SS mess dress pin are fakes as is that cast disk of whatever it is ( heimwehr danzig is usually seen). The SS rank also looks bad and I think the TK tab is more delta than dachau.

Im not sure that the shield is a repro. I do have a set that is damn near identical. I had a national tri color shield with this same style of backing and pins and eventually got a eagle to go with it. The detain on the front is quite good on my set. Doesn't mean its not a repro set but its interesting. Matt

The silver bevo SS large eagle is the type that JF used to sell in the 80s. It's different in details and proportions than the original types.

What exactly is the skull on top of the banner thing? I have haeard lots of argument and contraversy about them, but in all of my books I cannot seem to find one... what is it? What was it for? Being that SS stuff is already rare, are those pieces extremely rare or what? I have tried to find some threads about them, except that I'm not sure of the name of them that I should be typing in the search box....... please help!

Unless we are looking at two different tabs compare these known deltas:

If it is a fake (which I'm not sure that it is), then it's not a delta. I have never seen a delta with the double row of stitch.

Very close, except the embroidery on the one in the sales thread seems thicker and the teeth are better defined.

So is this a new fake?

Before I put this stuff for sale on this forum, I offered these to Richard T, who posted them for some input. Above is the link of what people had said about the very same SS things. So I'm confused about the clear contradiction. I'd just like to know what's real and what isn't so I can sell the good things.

Ok, well in that thread the only items I'm sure are fake are the rank tab and the large silver woven eagle with the RZM tag on the back.
In your sales thread, the SS mess dress insignia (skull missing half the banner, with the right side still intact) is fake.
That gets the absolutes out of the way.
