    DUTCH SS Kriegs Lehrgang Bookplate

Robin Lumsden's book shows a couple of SS bookplates. I always assumed only officers would order such, but apparently, even the SS men indulged in pride in belonging to such a degree as well!

Can anyone provide a translation to all portions of the text on this bookplate?

The name and rank are hand written onto the bookplate in fine gothic script.

The book is "Ewiges Deutschland" 1942 which matches the year on the bookplate.

It depicts one of my favorite subjects: the Julleuchter in all its mystery and splendor!

The tree resembles the tree print by Karl Henneman in one of the Weihnachtsbuch. A very similar style. It may even be him.

    It says:

    "To the SS-Stm. [= Sturmmann]
    Petrus Johann Preuen (?)
    as a memory
of the 4th wartime-training course of the
    SS-USR [= Unterführerschule Radolfzell]
    Yule Feast 1942"

Yes, it is. Sorry, I should have clarified that in my reply.
