OK guys, I really need the help of experts here. I will admit that SS is not my area to collect and I do have my reservations about the uniform as to it being 100% original. If the uniform is not right I hope that maybe some of the insignia is. This is an answer to an ad I ran and the person said it was his Grandfathers war trophy. I'm not buying his story, just the uniform, maybe. So here goes...The material of the jacket feel of a nylon base, not wool. The arm band is cotton and faded, I feel right about it being good. The arrow and SS badge under the armband look to be of a soft wool or maybe cotton. Single shoulder board on the right shoulder. No SS sleve eagle. Cheveron on the right arm? The armband, I have no idea. All the insignis are sewn through the lining of the arms except the cuff title.
Please examine these photos and give me your two cents worth.
