are you SS fan? most perhaps you has forgot abaut all BS what Waffen SS has done in East ,[/quote]

today is 06/08/2009. Search what happened in this day of 1945.

I know Waffen SS have, as quite all army, very bad things that i don't agree.
War it's war... and if you fought the war in the east where russians don't use humanity and dismember your comrades... i think you can do your bestiality.

In Italy comunist partisans get out at last days, keep medals and shot since December 1945 fascists, religious, civilians...

BUT in Waffen SS i see the last European army and the fighters defend European tradition. From 1945 all is changed in Europe. And what i see... the europe of merchant, banks, massonery and so on... is far, very far from the Europe of European i dream.

Our Europe is dead with the axis.

In Waffen SS i see the better army of WWII.
in Waffen SS i see a great spirit
in Waffen SS i see loyality
in Waffen SS i see a desperate fight when all was lost
in Waffen SS i see a new chivalry
in Waffen SS i see thousands and thousands of Europeans
in Waffen SS i see the 1° army of modern age that have more volunteers
in Waffen SS i see a great man as Leon Degrelle
YES in Waffen SS i see Dirlewanger... but it was one of the few

    Were all "satanic-diabolic"?

but i respect all real soldier, from Americans to the last British.

Ps: i'm very far from "holocaust" and so on. I hate this page... but national socialism was other. Too much other for a forum.

PPS: i don't want hurt any collector, we are here to collect, i explain my point of view.

          law

It's the simple law of supply and demand. The SS items are priced high because people are willing to pay high prices. It's just "stuff" to sit on a shelf or on a wall. You cant eat it, you cant drink it. It really has no value at all except people are willing to pay big money to just look at something and say it's theirs. It really never is and wont be forever. I'm sure the original owners would be ashtonished.

Yes, the Cecil B. DeMille movie villain look is definitely an attraction. But whether wearing Jolly Rogers around on your head is "cool"....that's a matter of perspective....

In this disturbing series of photos however, it's clear the German paratroops were not immune from dishing out their own brand of "SS" atrocities.

Just to show that the murderers didn't always show up wearing the Death's Head and SS Runes.

There has always been far less SS stuff available in most areas than most of the other types of TR militaria. However, as others have said, the high demand, (for multiple reasons), as well as the militaria market and dealers
has all combined, making SS regalia prices go out the roof.
I personally like the looks of the items and have always been intrigued by the history behind them and agree that the "cool factor" and the "bad boy factor" is what really creates the most interest among collectors, but the investment quality makes it a smart choice to spend your money, IMO,
as long as you are careful and are not getting burned with fakes.

                              Best, Chris
