How did you get the hyperlinks in your post that all go to the same reference site?

      Thanks,

I just noticed this. Years later.lol. most of it was pasted from wikipedia...

And as far as saying slivice was the biggest battle in Czech....its not what I meant. I meant that it was the biggest battle in the last days of the war in Czech because by then the army was broken up into small pockets.

        Hi Ty,
If you are still here can you message me on my email jindrackove1@gmail.com
I'm using my cell and it's not allowing me to access my PMs .
I have many messages there and cant see any of them. Missed on buying a lot of items because of that. I'm going back to Czech in 3 weeks and thought I'd look around some forests....

Well known video on Youtube supposedly shows troops, among them a lot of SS surrendering to US forces in Czechoslovakia.

Interesting WW2 site in Czech Republic

Not necessarily "battlefield" related . . . but a few years ago I had an opportunity to do some "digging" in this place, near Prague:

            http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...light=heydrich

Managed to come away with a tiny piece of Heydrich's gold-plated bathroom wall tile, and few Nazi pfennings.
