    today i received this nice(married?) picture.backside has a description:ein kleines andenken von hans&gertrud neumann.im dezember 1943.postcard size.photoshop has a adress in wien and the picture comes from wien.rank is standartenoberjunker.awards i can see is:ek2,winterschlacht im osten and the infantrie sturmabzeichen.on the shoulderboards i can see with a loupe he used cypers but not for identify.perhaps"DF"????have someone the"dienstaltersliste"from 1944.is he listed as untersturmführer?or other informations about hans neumann???

            I have multiples with that name, but being so young probably the one born June 24, 1922, killed as an Ostuf. on June 13, 1944, with s.SS-Artillerie Abteilung 101.

              yes 1922 is possible.looks very young.lah is possible too when i look the cypers but is it possible in a half year to become the rank obersturmführer?

                    i found no hans in the internet but a gertrud neumann.please look the picture.is it the same woman ca.2 1/2 years later and a little bit thinner????

                      Hard to tell - but the nose and especially the chin has a different look and appearance.

                      Interesting and nice picture anyway - thanks for sharing!

                        Apologies for my typo (half asleep), he was an USTUF, not OSTUF, when killed. He's also only one I found without a double name, such as Hans-Günther. In 1941 he was with the 2./Artillerie Regiment of "Leibstandarte" as an EM.
