    Latvian shields (3) for review

Thoughts on these Latvian SS shields?
I like the BeVo weave one...but it appears to be faded...
and the one with the ink stamp "handy-works" (crafts) shop address (A.Hitler street, Riga) and PH#
stamped on the back is in the reference books also... but can easily be faked...
    Thoughts?

Well it was an E-Bay offer 'buy it now" @ $240 if I remember correctly...
and nobody went for it... Auction closed with zero bidders...
      So no good?

that auction has been on several times. The machine embroidered BeVo like Latvian made for me is good. I can't express any judgment on the other two, there are too many good fakes, very good ones, made with original wartime material and only knowing about the provenance could give some clues. Even if only one was good the price it's ok for the lot. Let's see what other more experienced (than me) WAF members have to say

The only original shield is the bevo made one. Its is a localy made shield by Latvian company LENTR in Riga. A rare example, missing in most collections. The other two shields are complete junk.
