Hi John, I have heard of them. But I have never seen an original that I could examine in hand. One is shown on Page 446 in Jack Angolias book on SS cloth. Described as late 1944 and intented for use on the M44 Feldbluse.
I know that these were repro'ed as far back as the 1960's.
    Cheers, Ade.
P.S. Bill's example is as per the one shown in the book.

      Printed Eagle

      Hello,

Here is the one I have. As I recall, Mark Bando 101st Airborne author got one of these directly from a vet. I have not seen a period photo of one being worn.

The printed ss sleeve eagle is very late war, and if issued and worn it would have been in very small quantities, after all US troops found bundles of woven/Embroidered eagles at Dachau, but this pattern is recognised by ss collectors as a period produced item, and it a picture of them being worm ever turned up they would shoot up in price.

There are also fake examples that are printed as well the only accepted design is that pictured above, I have of a couple of fake printed example on file so will post them if I can find them,
        Cheers,
        Gary
