Salty, faded, and named SS cover

    Guys,

This cover has several interesting things about. It is named and unit marked. Secondly, the repairs were done on both sides aned with thread color to match the particular side. As you can see, the cover is torn and faded.

What are your thoughts on this one?

Is it named to a reenactor?

The cover has some construction details wich are not like original. I would pass on this one.

                  Best regards, Tom

Hard to tell, I do not like it..but clips looks okey. Never seen 2'nd cover like this. Maby this cover is a latewar gipsy rapid KZ-production

Frankly, I'm not convinced either way. The material is original late-war material in Oak-Leaf A print which is also totally correct. The clips mic out correctly in all dimensions and are annodized. I like the wear pattern on the clips edges and rockers. The rivets look right. The loops appear to be a little too close together, but there are like examples in Beaver's first book . (BTW, I doubt there is a re-enactor unit in the 4th bat of the 44th regiment). Poor construction was common in late covers and I have seen a number of construction variations, so I'm not so quick the judge here.

This cover is well used but some places around the edge, there are almost no use on the material at all.

UPS just did its 1630 hr pick up and I put a nice salty pair in the package .
Open the box slowly as an added bonus there is a pair of my girlfriends undies with different camouflage loops in Blured edge sewn to the rear .
The different sewing method is intresting as I believe it was done by an approved RZM manufacturer .

There is a control marking in the gusset area , this is different from all other drawers I have seen reciently .

Let me know when you get the package good Doctor .
