This thread is in Ref: to the SS Cloth Label Tag enclosed. It was show on a thread title "SS Labcoat". My questions, has these been seen before and what were they used for??

All depends on who you ask.....

(Sorry to be a SSmart @SS John, but I just could not resist noting what has taken place as of late in regards to these tags...)

Seriously though, I presume that these tags were standard "Property Tags", affixed to (cloth based) Hospital property items such as garments (Patient and Doctor), Wash Cloths / Towels, etc. "Property Tags" are a (universal) standard form of Facility property identification, used "then" and still in use "now" (e.g. Hospitals, Hotels, etc., - the list is endless...).

I think that these are simply a hospital property label that would have been sewn to anything cloth that was from the hospital...

Interesting labels being the subject of much intrigue as of late.

This style of label is still in use today on things such as hand towels, pillow-cases, shirts, clothing and the like.

I am curious if these are of TR era production.
