No foto Garth but it appearred in Angolia ss insignia.. If I remember its standard overseas style with no side flaps and a ss sleeve size eagle mounted on front about where you find one on mens cap..hopes this helps..Billbert

A confusing thread title I think. Of course there were no "Female SS members"? These women were paid employees or volunteers serving in various auxilliary duties.

I believe the woman officers hat with bullion piping and and eagle to be original. I got this eagle when i was a kid, and ive never been able to match it up, but it came in a vets estate all the ss stuff sd and all was original, but ive never shown it as i always thought it was a uniform eagle, and to me it now appears to just almost exactly match the one on this ss woman officers hat with the bullion piping. Only difference is the threads on the wings, the rest looks like the shiz-nick..

Now the next question logically would be ...Did the officers wear the same eagle on the uniform shoulder to match this one. Maybe ...possibly different in size?

                    Ian.
I have examined this uniform in hand and could not fault it. The patch is a little different, but they are not impossible to find so why bother to fake one and add it to this otherwise fabulous outfit?

Garth, the female aux. o'seas cap is made nothing like a regulation o'seas cap. The
available photos do not reveal this. I have an original cap, but have not yet learned how to post photos. Since you know me, & hopefully you stll have my address, get in touch w/me with an e-mail address, and I will be glad to send you a scan.
