Another view of Fegelein wearing the tunic used as an example if angle adds any details help, taken from my two SS Cavalry books. Date wise this photo is between May 10, 1943, and September 13, 1943, if of any additional help.

Excellent pic Mark, thanks!! This is what I was trying to get after in the beginning. This pic clearly shows the lack of closure features at the cuff commonly found on field service tunics.

      Thanks again!!

I love the tunic, if placed on a torso with an open claw officers belt. Any Army or Waffen SS hat would complete the dispaly (of course with proper boards). It's a GQ. timeless classic of the Third Reich.

I agree with the Waffen SS angle as a "preferred" cut. Especially with Fegeleins photos wearing it being well published during the war.

That is the same jacket as the first one. I think this is a tailor-made "riding jacket" and is not patterned after the summer tunics or issue tunics for that reason, it also explains lack of insignia and the vent cut in the back and why it is Rohweiss. Note he is carrying a riding crop. Basically it is a private purchase militarized civilian garment. I suspect it is original with the Kav. boards and indeed SS. Once I get my collecting bailout from the Fed I will contact you Robert. All these images look PK produced from the same set?.

Better hope that check comes before I find an SS officer's belt & buckle for it

They sell those at Walmart now. Aisle 7 next to the Oak smocks. I bet you will not sell it now. As long as we convince our spouses "we are trying sell" that is all that matters.

My suspicion is their closets are lined with RK docs in binders, SS Standartenfuhrer 4-pocket tunics with sexy cufftitles and lots of awards encrusted with diamonds, "bastads"!

Yes and because they will not loan the money out to my customers they have destroyed my business as well as those of half the other people I know that started with nothing and built something.
