The letter is one of those mass mailings they sent to people that mailed Hitler requests for autographs. Are they using to support that the piece is real?

      Free Corps

The son of a Free Corps member still has his fathers uniform. Its on you tube documentary of the Free Corps. Unless he is fibbing about the uniform. It looks real to me.

        Sounds doubtful.

            Free Corps

Just go to you tube and type in British Free Corps. You will see a five part documentary on the British Free Corps. In one of the episodes the son of a free corps soldier is holding his dads uniform. It has the correct insignia and looks real to me. Provenance is good so it probably is real. You all should watch this its very good. There is on BFC guy in Australia. They interview him also but he seems like he is shy about giving any details but does reveal quite a bit. They also interview the English speaking Nazi that was in charge of the BFC. It is worth a look just to see the uniform. Enjoy

OK, I've just watched them- very entertaining. The uniform, however, is a replica that is being commented on by the son of a Free Corps member, not the father's actual uniform...

                Uniform

I'll have to take your word for it. I certanly am not an expert.

I found the other stories on that link far more interesting to read. No disrespect to Dave but this tab and the aura of "evil incarnate" people tend to ascribe to it is old news IMO.

Still showing 0 comments. I left one on the 13th. At least 1 other left by another member.

It's a repro uniform I put together for the documentary: a tunic from 'Lost Battalions' in the US with the repro insignia made by Cyrus Lee.

                        Uniform

You made up this uniform on the documentary? Its a small world. Nice work Basil.

The auctioneers didn't reply to my email but a journalist friend has been in touch with them and they have declined to withdraw the repro BFC tab from the auction so far. I suppose we should all draw our own conclusions from that.

I seem to remember a thread on a staghorn chicken
carving knive, that Himmiler was supposed to have given as
a gift. I have tried all the relevant word searches, can someone
                            please send me a link.

The same auctioneer who had it pointed out to him that the hitler pics were considered forgeries by experts in the TR collecting field...
